As I announced in a post earlier today, I will be starting a new blog! After checking domain availabilities and crunching different names for the new blog, I am proud to announce the name of this new blog.
Drum roll, please!
Perspectrum Politics will be hitting the worldwide web in January 2015! As a result, this blog will officially become defunct. I invite each and every one of you to subscribe to the new blog once it launches. My goal with this newest venture is to open a dialogue on political topics and scenarios that encourages productive debate. I can guarantee that the follower base of this blog will disagree with some of the new content. That’s a good thing, and that’s my intention. In order to have a constructive conversation, all viewpoints must be fairly represented.
On an unrelated note, Aspiring Conservative set one personal record before retiring. Today, after posting “A Final Word,” Aspiring Conservative set a new personal record for the most new followers in one day. Thank you!
I look forward to seeing you all in a new year and on a new blog!
Aspiring Conservative, signing off.
Update: Here’s a sneak peek at Perspectrum Politics!
This post will be short and sweet.
Over the past year, I have had the support of several readers on this blog. Unfortunately, I haven’t been writing lately. The truth is, I don’t really align myself in such a way politically as this blog suggests. Time goes on, people change, right? Cutting to the chase, I am working on plans to start a new blog, still focused around politics, but from a broader perspective. My plan is to write both left- and right-leaning articles on this new blog. Why? Because I believe that better suits my ideology. Republicans aren’t always right, and Democrats aren’t always wrong and vice versa. So, what can you expect from said new blog? A more independent/centrist/even partly libertarian viewpoint. As subscribers to this blog, you will agree with some of the things I write and disagree with others. Regardless, I invite you to check it out once everything is up and running.
Stay tuned for more info, and thank you for your support!
A Note from the Author: In reference to the statement I made about agreeing with some articles and disagreeing with others, this is an open invitation to create a debate/dialogue on those articles once the site is set up.
President Obama’s trading of five Guantanamo prisoners in exchange for a captured U.S. soldier has been a popular and controversial topic in the media this week. There are those who argue that no man should be left behind; that justice has been done. Then there are those who assert that we paid too high a price with the release of five “high risk” Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists. How much do we truly know about Bowe Bergdahl and his past? Do we actually know all of the facts surrounding this event? Was this a good or bad deal? This is the Bergdahl complex. Continue reading →

Hello fellow bloggers and fans!
After going on a hiatus for several months, I am making a return to the blogging world! Hopefully, you guys still care about what I have to say. If you don’t, tough luck. I’m going to write anyways!
There will be a few changes as far as setup and content. The first change will be the deletion of the Subscribers page. I may use that space for more creative purposes. It’s too much to track each and every follower and update that page in its current form. The other change will be the discontinuing of the 2016 Profiles. I may post some in the future, but my primary focus will be on providing you all with new, original content.
Thanks for sticking with me through this wild ride. Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts!
In case you’re wondering what I am referring to, I’m talking about my prospects for a middle-of-the-road Republican candidate in 2016. After much consideration, I’m writing this article to somewhat retract some statements in previous articles. I’ll explain it all below. P.S. This article is not going to be the usual article of considerable length. Short, sweet, and to the point is the theme.
So, why was I wrong?
The first of the Republican candidates to be covered in this new series 2016 Profile is Chris Christie. I will take a moment to give a background of the candidate, their qualifications, appealing and unappealing attributes, how well-known they are, and how they would fare in the election against their Democratic rivals. Scales from 1 to 10 will be used periodically throughout the post. Continue reading →
With the 2016 Presidential election getting closer by the day, many potential candidates are weighing whether or not to launch a bid for the White House. For the Democrats, there is the obvious choice of Clinton, the plan Y: Biden, and plan Z: Cuomo. Clinton essentially has the nomination if she wants it.
For the Republicans, however, there are more contenders. Continue reading →
Borrowed from Susan J. Knowles at Stand For The Truth. Very well-written and a recommended read!
